The Local Area

Villa Bougainvillea is located just outside the charming town of Pula on Sardinia’s South West coast. The area is an ideal setting for a Mediterranean holiday and offers a good choice of excellent restaurants and pizzerias, supermarkets and boutiques.

Attractions in the local area include the Roman ruins at Nora (and accompanying museum in Pula), the BluFan water park and the Is Molas golf course which hosts the Italian Open every year. We can also arrange for water sports such as kite surfing, diving, wind surfing or boat charters as well as horse riding and cycling trips or wine and cheese tasting at a local vineyard and there are free open air concerts in Pula town square several times a week during the summer months.

The beaches in the area are among the best in the Mediterranean and boast silky white sand and clear blue seas. Chia, Nora and Tueredda are some of the best known but there are plenty of other sandy coves to choose from as well.

Cagliari, Sardinia's charming capital city is within easy reach by either car or public transport and offers visitors a choice of restaurants, art galleries, museums, botanical gardens, boutiques and buzzing nightlife.
